Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using VidCrews. They govern your rights and responsibilities on the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VidCrews ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users — creatives, hirers, and visitors alike.
2. What VidCrews Does
VidCrews is a marketplace that connects video production professionals ("Creatives") with individuals and organisations ("Hirers") seeking crew for film, television, commercial, and digital content productions across Africa and the diaspora. VidCrews facilitates discovery and initial connection — it is not a party to any agreement made between Creatives and Hirers.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. VidCrews reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Creative Profiles
Creatives are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information on their profiles — including stated roles, rates, portfolio work, and availability. Misrepresentation of skills, credits, or identity is grounds for immediate removal from the Platform. Portfolio content must be work you own or have rights to display.
5. Job Postings
Hirers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of job postings. Postings must represent genuine production opportunities. Spam, discriminatory listings, or postings designed to harvest personal data are strictly prohibited. VidCrews reserves the right to remove any listing without notice.
6. Payments & Rates
VidCrews does not process payments between Hirers and Creatives. All financial agreements — including rates, deposits, and payment schedules — are made directly between the parties. The Rate Transparency Board is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute a legally binding rate schedule. VidCrews is not liable for any payment disputes.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: (a) harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users; (b) post false, misleading, or fraudulent content; (c) use the Platform to solicit users outside of its intended purpose; (d) scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Platform in an automated manner; (e) circumvent any security or access control measures; (f) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual Property
The VidCrews brand, logo, design, and code are the intellectual property of VidCrews and its creators. User-generated content (profiles, portfolios, job postings) remains the property of the respective users. By posting content, you grant VidCrews a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content within the Platform.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
VidCrews is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content, the completion of any booking, or the professional conduct of any Creative or Hirer. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VidCrews shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
10. Modifications to Terms
VidCrews reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if unresolved, through the courts of competent jurisdiction in Accra, Ghana.
